Spotify Premium Scam: Is It a Scam?

Yes, this is a scam. Do not click any links or provide personal information.

Scammers send fake Spotify emails claiming your Premium subscription payment failed or offering a free upgrade to Premium. Both versions lead to phishing pages that steal your Spotify login and credit card information.

How This Scam Works

You receive an email that looks like it comes from Spotify, either warning that your Premium subscription will be cancelled due to a failed payment or offering three free months of Spotify Premium. The link leads to a fake Spotify login page. After entering your credentials, you are asked for credit card information to 'confirm your identity' or 'activate the offer.' Scammers sell stolen Spotify accounts in bulk and use the credit card data for fraud.
