They also compile criminal records, driving records, insurance claims data, and employment verification information. Their profiles often include associated individuals and relatives.
Step-by-Step Opt-Out Instructions
- Go to https://consumer.risk.lexisnexis.com/request
- Select 'Opt Out' or 'Freeze' from the options
- Download and print the opt-out request form
- Fill out the form completely with your full legal name, SSN (last 4), date of birth, and current address
- Include a copy of a government-issued ID (driver's license or passport)
- Mail the completed form to: LexisNexis Consumer Center, P.O. Box 105108, Atlanta, GA 30348-5108
- Alternatively, fax the form to 1-800-350-0119
- Allow 4-6 weeks for processing
What to Expect After Opting Out
After LexisNexis receives your request, they will verify your identity and process the removal within 4-6 weeks. You will receive a confirmation letter at your mailing address.
